The upsurge in hype about this clothing can be seen initially on social media platforms, especially TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. This buzz spread so quickly that it became a trend and became the focus of attention among fashionistas.
“After Bangladeshi audiences started watching Pakistani dramas, the demand and trend of Pakistani dresses got a huge response because of its style, design and looks. This co-ord set was started by Pakistani fashion influence, and people quickly liked the look and started wearing it as their staple clothing. It is easy to wear, comfortable and convenient, as I don’t have to look for a matching pair of pants to go with my top,” said Nuzhat Tonny, a Department of International Relations student at the University of Dhaka.
The loose-fitting and comfortable nature of this clothing has made it summer-friendly and adored by many women. The go-to outfit is accessible with minimum effort, making the co-ord set look sleek and timeless.
For a casual yet gorgeous look, a coordinated set can be a perfect option for any occasion, whether a formal event or a casual outing with friends.
“I think it became hyped because of social media influence. I began wearing it following the trend and the way it looked. I would rate it a 10/10 in terms of comfort,” said Tasmia Tabassum, a student of the Department of Economics who is a trend follower.
“When I went to the mall to buy some clothes, I liked the co-ord set because of its design and versatility, so I bought it myself. In terms of giving comfort, I would rate it a 7.5/10. I prefer wearing it as casual attire,” said Chinmoyee Chanda, a student and a fashion enthusiast who studies Economics at the University of Dhaka.

When the co-ord started in Bangladesh, it was worn by celebrities or trend followers. Why did it begin taking off among people because of demand, versatility, and style? That’s when people started wearing them, and they became very popular quickly.

From the local markets to the shopping mall near you, even major retailers are putting extra effort into coping with the high public demand.
