Eid means joy. One month of restraint by fasting for the Almighty Allah comes with one of the biggest festive days for Muslims all over the world. The festive days include Eid al-Fitr. Regardless, people are prone to festivals to enjoy with the family and with a new, different get-up.
This is one of the significances of Eid: enjoying the day with loved ones in a new, beautiful outfit. So, the Eid market is an important place to shop for the best outfits and more. The Eid market trends 2026 can get us from online to offline shopping sprees.
Dress for the look
Salwar suits are common for women's wear in Asian cultures and for various occasions, regardless of faith. Designed salwar suits are made from pearl- and stone-embroidered fabrics.
The fabrics are soft, mostly silk and georgette. Viscose fabrics are also popular. Lahore-styled salwar suits have full sleeves that are slightly loose, and dupattas are embroidered with glittery threads. Three pieces are in a different design called 'Sharara.'
The bottom piece of this dress is a skirt designed as a salwar. There is another type of suit called 'Gharara,' with a bottom piece fitted to the knee and a skirt styled to the toe, similar to a salwar. A type of laced design on the back of the dress is another attraction.
Pathani suits for men's wear have been popular. Panjabi and kurta are common wear for men to buy on Eid. A salwar or pants completes the outfit.
Shahriar Swapnil shared that he bought a short kurta from Aarong and is satisfied with the price. He finds that outlet unique, as always, to shop from.
The colour palette for Eid outfits could be pastel and bright shades, with a focus on weather- and long-day-comforting colours.
Anindita Hasan shared that her dresses are in sky blue and light pink. She says, "I bought two salwar suits with pastel colours. These dresses have embroidered fabric with glittery threads. These are from Police Plaza, Gulshan 1."
Sunehera Subaha shares, "I got my dress from Shimanto Square. They are mostly Pakistani or Pakistani-inspired. The price point starts at 3.5k for a kameez or two pieces, which seemed high to me. The dresses are pretty, but most of them looked the same to me in every store."
Sunehera found it a bit difficult to pick a dress; however, she said, "I am into unique things." She added that she also ordered a dress from an online store that has not arrived yet.
Dark-hued colours can be a choice too. Fabric softness matters in comfort-focused fashion. Zobeda Khatun bought a burgundy coloured Persian styled salwar suit.
She said, "I love the colour so much, and this fabric is so comfortable. I am waiting to enjoy my Eid now, and that's all." Persian-style salwar suits have pants with broad knitting in the ankle lining, and the top part has two side slit and is a bit shorter in length.
Rahee Nayab told us, "I did not buy many things for Eid, but I am getting three short kurtas tailored from a local shop in Uttara."
Irina Sia shared that, "I mostly shopped online, due to a lack of time to visit the market. I bought a maroon dress from Vibgyor for 4300 taka, and another off-white dress for 4600 taka. I bought a gown in moss green from Athena for 2k. I bought a 90s-style kameez set from Lalita and Ira's page, but it hasn't arrived yet. The price range of both is 2500 and 2700."
A pair of shoes for the occasion
Footwear varies during Eid. The suit matches the boot. Women of any age may prefer to match their footwear to their outfit, as women's footwear offers more colour options than men's.
Describing her choice, the author's father bought me a navy blue silk salwar suit, and I bought a pair of golden heels. The contrast between golden and navy blue is complemented by a diversity that matches, as the outfit features golden-thread embroidery.
Multiple brands and outlets are in the centre to help you find the best fit for your feet. People of all ages look for a brand-new footwear collection. Going out and having fun with a pretty pair of shoes makes the festival cheerful.
Anindita shared that she bought two pairs of footwear in pinkish/peach and beige, contrasting with her outfits. Rahee Nayab also shared that he bought a pair of shoes and was satisfied with his minimalistic Eid shopping.
Accessories to complete the look
Jewellery and accessories have their own zones to make the Eid look great. Colourful glass bangles for women have significance. Without a handful of Bangladeshi, an Eid makeover is incomplete.
Kashmiri jhumkas are earrings with long, thin bells that clink with movement. Its intricate surface design demonstrates a deep artistic practice.
Aninidita Hasan says, "Accessories like glass bangles and earrings, I bought them from some online pages. A clutch, a kind of handbag with stones beaded."
Online and offline sections are complementing Eid shopping. Online stores are equally relevant in the Eid season.
She added that she is content with her Eid shopping and ready to celebrate Eid with her family and friends.

Eid shopping gathers different experiences for different people. Some consumers like to look for the unique ones to make their Eid look different and elegant.
Simple, minimalist designs are feasible given the weather and comfort. At the same time, some people like to shop for different sets of designs to celebrate Eid.
Another fact in the consumer market is that online and in-store shopping go hand in hand for our digital, busy lives. Last but not least, colour choices differ from person to person, as both dark and light shades are attractive.
