Young and aspiring storytellers can submit different genres of stories, including journalistic stories, non-fiction, and documentaries at free charge from 30 March to September 30, 2023 in the Community Digital Storytelling Festival (CDSTF).
The festival is organised by the Department of Journalism, Media and Communication (JMC) of Daffodil International University (DIU). The festival will take place on February 10 next year, said a press release.
The first ever CDSTF in Bangladesh is a unique and innovative annual event that aims to promote and celebrate the art of storytelling through the use of smartphones as a primary tool.
This CDSTF is a powerful and dynamic event that brings together the young and aspiring storytellers to share their voices with the world. It gives them an opportunity to promote creativity, innovation and collaboration among storytellers, the release added.
Some categories of storytelling that participants must follow are independent category, DIU best community digital story category, one minute category and journalism category. Among the shared stories, only the selected stories will be screened at the festival. The best story will receive the awards.
