Rakib Hasan, creator of the teen detective series ‘Tin Goyenda’, has passed away at the age of 75.
He breathed his last on Wednesday afternoon while undergoing dialysis at Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital in Dhanmondi.
Masuma Maimur, adviser of Sheba Prokashoni and wife of Kazi Maymur Hossain, son of the publication’s founder Kazi Anwar Hossain, confirmed the news of his death through a Facebook post.
“We are deeply saddened to inform the readers of Tin Goyenda and Sheba Prokashoni that writer Rakib Hasan has passed away a short while ago. He breathed his last as his heart stopped during dialysis treatment”, she wrote.
Masuma requested the readers to pray for the eternal peace of his departed soul.
