The number of truck registration in the country stood at 1,081 alone in January and February of 2020, according to an official data.
Of the total, 728 trucks were registered in Dhaka during the period, according to Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) statistics.
A total of 8,326 trucks were registered in 2019 while 12,663 were registered in 2018, the transport regulator data showed.
