The government suspended 13 senior police officers on Sunday who remained absent from duty for an extended period.
The Public Security Division (Police-1 Branch) of the Ministry of Home Affairs issued 13 separate notifications in this regard.
The notifications were signed by Deputy Secretary Nasimul Gani.
Following the fall of the Awami League government on August 5, 2024, many officers briefly returned to their posts before disappearing again. Some went on leave and never returned, while others disappeared without applying for leave.
