Miscreants have killed 13 police officials in an attack on Enayetpur Police Station in Sirajganj district. Additionally, another policeman from Cumilla's Eliotganj Highway Police Station was also killed in a similar attack.

The incidents occurred on Sunday as the country witnessed widespread clashes and violence linked to the ongoing 'non-cooperation movement' called by the Anti-discrimination Student Movement, demanding the government's resignation.

A police headquarters bulletin issued in the afternoon confirmed the deaths of the police officials resulting from the attacks.

When contacted by the Daily Prothom Alo, Additional DIG (Operations and Crime) of Rajshahi Range, Bijoy Basak, said that an army team reached the scene around 7:00 pm. Other law enforcement personnel accompanied them. They went to the police station and found 11 bodies. They discovered 11 bodies at the station, with eight found piled up beside the mosque and three in a pond. Several police officers are still missing.

Sirajganj Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime) Mohammad Hannan Miah said that initially, a group of about a thousand people approached the station, stayed for a while, and then left. Later, several hundred people launched a sudden attack on the station and set it on fire. So far, 11-12 bodies of police officers have been recovered. There are injury marks on their bodies.
