A 15-year-old boy died after a Ramzan Paribahan bus ran him over in the capital's Rampura on Saturday evening.
The deceased was identified as Sajid, according to Inspector Md Faruk, in charge of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) Police Outpost, as per a UNB report.
The accident happened when Sajid was crossing the street in front of Islami Bank. He was run over by the bus while trying to cross the road.
Sajid worked at “Tin Kannya Auto Centre” on East Rampura DIT Road, Mojibur Gazi, the shop owner, said, Sajid had just left the shop when the accident happened.
He was rushed to the emergency department at DMCH where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
The body has been sent to the hospital morgue for an autopsy, said the police official.
