23 rivers register rise, 62 fall

Water levels in 23 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rises and 62 stations recorded falls.

Among the 94 monitored water level stations, eight are steady, a bulletin issued by FFWC said on Sunday, reports BSS.

All the major rivers are flowing below their respective danger level. The Brahmaputra-Jamuna rivers are in rising trend which may become steady in next 24 hours.

The Ganges-Padma and the major rivers of Meghna basin are in falling trend which may continue in the next five days.
