2,610 pink-coloured buses to run on counter basis from Thursday in Dhaka

The Dhaka Road Transport Owners’ Association has announced to operate buses from 21 companies on various routes from Abdullahpur in the capital under a counter-based ticketing system from Thursday.
“Nearly 2,610 pink-coloured buses will operate under the system,” said Md Saiful Alam, the general secretary of the association. He was addressing a press conference at the association’s office in Kazi Nazrul Islam Avenue on Tuesday.
The counter service will officially launch at 10:30 am on Thursday.
He informed that passengers will have to purchase tickets before boarding on the buses and they will not allow passengers to board or disembark at random locations.
