A total of 32 Bangladeshis were killed in violence-related incidents along the country's border from January to October of 2019, according to a local independent rights body.

The Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK) report noted that 28 people were shot dead while four others succumbed to physical torture in the border areas in first ten months of the year.

25 persons were also abducted during the same period in the border while 36 others injured, the report added.

The ASK prepared the data based on the published reports of some renowned national and regional daily newspapers in the country.
