Some 500 Bangladeshis have died of coronavirus in Saudi Arabia so far, according to officials of Bangladesh embassy there.
The number of deaths of Bangladeshi nationals is more than one-third of the total people died of Coronavirus in Saudi Arabia.
According to Wolrdometer.info, a total of 1649 people have died of Covid-19 infection in Saudi Arabia until Wednesday while the confirmed cases are 190823.
Embassy officials said Saudi Arabia allowed all workers to testing and necessary treatments. Bangladeshi workers should take the facilities. They should also follow the health guidelines, provided by the Saudi authorities to prevent the infection.
However, talking to the FE, a good number of Bangladeshi workers staying in Saudi Arabia said many of them cannot take care of their health as they do not have money.
A large number of Bangladeshi workers have lost jobs while many others are staying with undocumented status. So, they have no available scope of having proper foods and accommodations. For these reasons, they are at risk of infection of coronavirus.
