53-year-old electrocuted in Dhaka's Jurain

A 53-year-old man died from electrocution in the capital's Jurain area on Wednesday, police said.

The deceased was identified as Habib of Banglabazar area of Shariatpur district. He worked at the Commander Mosquito Coil factory, as per a UNB report.

Coworker Ismail said Habib became unconscious after being electrocuted while working at the factory. Later, he (Habib) was taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead at 5:20 pm.

Md Faruk, in charge of the DMCH police outpost, said the body was kept in the emergency department morgue for an autopsy.
