75 more dengue cases recorded in 24 hours

Seventy five new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals across the country in the last 24 hours till 8:00am on Wednesday.

Thirty seven of them were hospitalised in Dhaka, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in a regular update.

With the latest, a total of 100,436 people have been hospitalised in the country with dengue since January, according to a UNB report.

Among those who were hospitalised, 99,799 made full recovery and went home, the DGHS said.

Currently, 373 patients, including 224 in the capital, are being treated at different hospitals.

The Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research has received 264 reports of dengue-related deaths. It has reviewed 204 of them and confirmed 129 deaths.
