Ilias Kanchan demands removal of home affairs adviser over law and order failure

Veteran film actor and road safety activist Ilias Kanchan has called for the removal of the interim government's Home Affairs Adviser, Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, citing a severe deterioration in law and order.

Speaking at a seminar titled 'Public Suffering and Local Government Division', organised by the Ganashakti Sobha at the National Press Club on Friday, Kanchan criticised the adviser’s inability to manage the situation effectively.

“A person who cannot handle law and order has been placed in this position. He should be removed, and a qualified individual should be appointed,” he said.

He also said that while people now have the opportunity to voice their concerns, their grievances are being sorely ignored.
