Monir Hossain Jibon, the director of the popular BTV drama series ‘Aaj Robibar’ written by famous litterateur Humayun Ahmed, passed away on Thursday.
He breathed his last around 12:53 am at the National Institute of Neurosciences and Hospital in the capital's Agargaon area, according to local media reports.
Director Jibon suddenly had a brain stroke at night. He was rushed to the hospital where duty doctors proclaimed him dead later.
Jibon rose to fame for directing Aaj Robibar (1996), Ahom (2007) and Somudro Bilash Private Limited (1999).
Apart from these, he made many telefilms, serial dramas, documentaries, short films and commercials.
