ACC launches inquiry into 'corruption' involving ex-finance minister's family, three MPs

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has initiated an inquiry into several high-profile individuals, including Kashmeri Kamal, the wife of former Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal; Nafisa Kamal, their daughter; former Awami League Member of Parliament from Feni-2, Nizam Uddin Hazari; former Member of Parliament from Feni-3, Lieutenant General (retd.) Masud Uddin Chowdhury; and Benazir Ahmed, the Member of Parliament from Dhaka-20, along with their associates.

The inquiry has been launched due to allegations of involvement in a lucrative business operation within the Malaysian labour market, ACC spokesman Md Aktarul Islam told The Financial Express.
