The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) seized two bags containing confidential documents on the illegal wealth of former Inspector General of Police (IGP) AKM Shahidul Haque from one of his relative’s houses on Tuesday.
The confiscated documents linked to his movable and immovable assets worth crores of taka were recovered from a relative’s house, said ACC Public Relations Officer Md Akhtarul Islam.
A five-member ACC team, led by assistant director Rakibul Hayat, conducted the search operation from midnight until early Wednesday morning, he said.
During the raid, the team found 48 documents of 38 different types in the two bags.
The seized documents included property deeds, confidential agreements, deeds of agreement, power of attorney papers, bonds, fixed deposit receipts (FDRs), offer letters, and bank account statements.
