Access to DU restricted for two days during DUCSU elections

The Dhaka University administration has announced restricted access to the campus for two days ahead of the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) elections.

The Dhaka University Proctor’s Office announced on Thursday that campus entrances, including at Shahbagh, Palashi, Doel Chattar, Shibbari Crossing, Fuller Road, Udayan School, and Nilkhet, will be closed to the public from 8pm on Sept 8 to 6am on Sept 10 for the DUCSU and hall elections.

According to the schedule, the DUCSU elections will be held on Sept 9.

However, students, teachers, officials, and employees with valid Dhaka University ID cards will be allowed entry.

Family members of staff can enter by presenting photocopies of their respective ID cards.

The notification also mentioned only vehicles with Dhaka University stickers and those on emergency duty will be allowed to enter the campus.
