Detective Branch (DB) of police freed on Friday actresses Meher Afroz Shaon and Sohana Saba after questioning on different issues.
Deputy Police Commissioner (Media and Public Relations) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Muhammad Talebur Rahman confirmed the matter to the media.
They were handed over to their respective families on Friday after being interrogated on various issues, said Mr Talebur Rahman.
Earlier on Thursday at around 8pm, actress and director Meher Afroz Shaon was taken to the DB office in the capital's Mintoo Road for questioning from Dhanmondi area of the capital.
Actress Sohana Saba was also taken to the DB office on the same day to interrogate her about her alleged involvement in anti-state conspiracy.
The two were interrogated at the office of the DB regarding anti-state conspiracy and other matters. No cases were filed against them.
