A unit of the Adani Group power plant, located in Jharkhand, India, started electricity production on Saturday evening, 17 hours after its closure due to a technical glitch.

Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) officials confirmed the development, according to local news portals.

The power plant, which has two units with the capacity of 800 megawatts each, supplies electricity to Bangladesh.

Earlier, a unit of the coal-based plant stopped production on April 8, and supply from another unit to Bangladesh’s national grid was halted on Friday night.
