A man, who suffered severe burn injuries in a fire at his Agargaon residence on Thursday last, died at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) early Sunday.
The deceased Muktar Hossain, 38, suffered 97 per cent burns on his body.
"Muktar succumbed to his injuries around 2:00am," said Inspector Bacchu Miah, in-charge of DMCH police camp.
Muktar's wife Salma, 28, also suffered 95 per cent burns in the last week's fire. She is now undergoing treatment at DMCH, says a UNB report.
The couple's son Shafin, 6, was unhurt as he was not home when the fire broke out.
