BNP Standing Committee member Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain returned home from Singapore early Wednesday after receiving treatment for a brain haemorrhage.
He landed at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 1:00 am.
“Alhamdulillah, my father is now better than before. He received treatment at the National University Hospital in Singapore,” said his younger son Barrister Khandaker Maruf Hossain.
Doctors advised him to take 4-6 months of full bed rest and abstain from any kind of public gathering during this time as he underwent brain surgery, he added.
Maruf sought doa from countrymen and party leaders for his father’s speedy recovery.
According to the family member, Mosharraf underwent a successful brain surgery at the Singapore National University Hospital on January 27.
Earlier on January 21, the 76-year-old former health minister went to Singapore for advanced treatment on the advice of the doctors of the Evercare Hospital.
Mosharraf was admitted to the Evercare Hospital in the capital on June 18 last year after a stroke.
