India's National Security Advisor Ajit Doval met Sheikh Hasina, who just resigned as the Prime Minister of Bangladesh and fled to India.
According to a report in the India Today newspaper, the Hasina-Doval meeting was held at Indian army's Hindan Air Base in Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh near New Delhi after the aircraft carrying the former Bangladesh prime minister landed at the base at 5:36 local time.
Hasina fled Bangladesh on a military aircraft amid a fierce anti-government movement, spearheaded by students, that left several hundred people dead in the last few weeks.
