All the five-member election commission, including Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal have resigned.
Kazi Habibul Awal made the announcement at a press conference on Thursday, according to media reports.
On February 27, 2022, former secretary Kazi Habibul Awal took the charge of the Chief Election Commissioner, while four others– former senior secretaries Md Alamgir and Anisur Rahman, retired district and sessions judge Rashida Sultana Emily and retired Brigadier General Ahsan Habib Khan took the charges as election commissioners.
