The Ministry of Education in Bangladesh has released the annual vacation schedule for all public and private lower secondary and secondary schools in the country for the year 2025. A total of 76 days have been set aside for holidays, according to the academic calendar.

The announcement was made through a notification issued by the Secondary and Higher Education Division of the Ministry of Education on Monday (December 23).

The holiday calendar includes several long breaks. The vacation for the holy month of Ramadan will begin on March 2. This period will also include holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr, Jum'atul Wida, Independence Day, and a few other occasions, resulting in a continuous 28-day break. Classes are scheduled to resume on April 8 after this extended holiday.

A 15-day summer vacation is scheduled from June 1 to June 19, coinciding with Eid-ul-Adha.

Additionally, eight days have been allocated for the Durga Puja festival, which also includes holidays for Lakshmi Puja, Fateha-e-Yaz Dahum, and other observances.

Apart from these scheduled holidays, school authorities will have the discretion to declare three additional days off as needed. The schedule also incorporates holidays for various national, international, and religious occasions.
