The air conditioner explosion in the Bashundhara residential area in Dhaka has claimed its fourth and final victim.
Raksi Akhter, 20, died early on Sunday while undergoing treatment at the Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute, said Bachchu Mia, chief of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital Police Outpost.
She died at 5:05 am, he said, citing doctors. She had suffered burns on 55 per cent of her body, reports bdnews24.com.
Four members of a family were burnt badly on Monday evening when an explosion occurred at a ground-floor flat in Dhaka’s Bashundhara residential area.
The family had come to Dhaka from Cox’s Bazar’s Moheshkhali so that Raksi could seek treatment for a brain tumor at Evercare Hospital.
Raksi’s son, 3-year-old Ayan, died on Wednesday. Her sister, 18-year-old Futu Akhter, died on Thursday. Her father, Abdul Mannan, died on Saturday.
