The High Court has quashed another 2015 sabotage case against BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.
The bench of Justice AKM Asaduzzaman and Justice Syed Enayet Hossain delivered the verdict on Thursday.
Senior lawyer AM Mahbub Uddin Khokon and lawyer Kaysar Kamal represented Khaleda at the hearing.
Advocate Zainul Abedin, Zakir Hossain Bhuiyan, Maksud Ullah and other lawyers were also present.
Deputy Attorney General Md Jashim Sarkar represented the state.
Sub Inspector Md Shah Alam of Darussalam Police Station filed the case against Khaleda over allegations of torching buses on Mar 3, 2015.
A petition to dismiss the case was later filed. After an initial hearing, the High Court suspended the trial proceedings in the case and issued a rule asking why the case should not be dismissed.
After a final hearing of that rule, the case was dismissed on Thursday.
The High Court bench has scrapped 11 sabotage cases and one case of sedition against the BNP chief in two days.
