Police have recovered the body of an Ansar from a Textbook Board warehouse in the Morkun area of the Tongi township in Gazipur.
Police believe the deceased, 25-year-old Md Junayed, committed suicide with a rifle.
Junayed hailed from Ujalalpur village in Sunamganj’s Jamalganj Upazila and was a security guard of the National Curriculam and Textbook Board’s warehouse, said Md Zahirul Islam, Ansar BGB official of Tongi.
“He went to the warehouse at around 10:00 pm on Saturday. About an hour later, his colleagues heard gun shot after Junayed went to the toilet. They rushed to the spot and found him dead,” said Md Ashraful, sub-inspector of Tongi Police Station, bdnews24 reported.
His body was taken to Shaheed Ahsan Ullah Master General Hospital at Gazipur for autopsy.
