Chief of Army Staff General Waqar-uz-Zaman has met BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia at her residence.
According to local media reports, he entered the BNP chairperson's Gulshan residence around 8:30pm on Thursday.
The army chief prayed for the speedy recovery of the former Prime Minister. Waqar was accompanied by his wife. The army chief and his wife stayed at Khaleda Zia's residence for about 40 minutes.
