Road communications of Thakurgaon district town with 10 Union Parishads remained snapped as a bailey bridge at Barunagaon in Sadar upazila collapsed on Friday evening.
Mafidar Islam, station officer of Thakurgaon Fire Service, said the Senua bailey bridge on the north side of the town collapsed when a coal-laden truck was plying along it around 6:30pm, leaving Ainul Haque, 65, a resident of the area, injured, reports UNB.
Locals said they were facing untold sufferings due to the disruption of the road communications.
