Nasrin Siddiqui, a central committee member of the Krishak Sramik Janata League (KSJL) and wife of party president Bangabir Abdul Kader Siddique, has died in Dhaka (Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji'un).
She breathed her last on Saturday night (June 7), at a private hospital in the capital, where she had been undergoing treatment, the party confirmed.
According to KSJL sources, Siddiqui had been admitted following a brain haemorrhage. Her condition deteriorated despite receiving medical attention, leading to her demise.
Her death has cast a pall of mourning across the political landscape, with party members and supporters expressing deep sorrow.
The KSJL said details regarding her funeral and burial arrangements would be announced in due course.
