The crucial border talks between Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Border Security Force (BSF) of India have been rescheduled and will start in Dhaka on Wednesday.
The meeting, which was postponed earlier, will now be held from September 16 to 18, officials concerned told the FE on Monday night.
Earlier, the meeting was scheduled to be held from September 13 to 18 in Dhaka, but the BGB officials on Sunday said that they were informed by the BSF that due to the technical glitch in the aircraft, which was supposed to carry the BSF delegation to Dhaka, the BSF team would not be able to attend the meeting.
In the wake of a rise in the border killing, the border talks are thought to be crucial as diplomatic circles of both the countries are expecting important measures will be taken in the meeting.
Border killing and fencing, counter terrorism are learnt to be the key agenda of the scheduled meeting.
