Bangladesh has been ranked 94th in the latest edition of the Henley Passport Index, gaining three notches up from its previous ranking.
With visa-free access to 39 countries, Bangladesh is holding the 94th position jointly with war-torn Palestine and Eritrea.
According to the latest index released on Wednesday, Singapore holds the world’s most powerful passport. Citizens of the country can travel to 193 destinations without a prior visa. Singapore also topped the list last year.
Japan and South Korea share the second position, with their passport holders enjoying visa-free access to 190 countries.
In third place are Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, and Spain. Citizens of these countries can travel to 189 destinations without needing a visa in advance.
