Bangladesh Police has finalised its new logo or monogram to replace the existing one.
To this effect, the Police Headquarters issued an order on Thursday, with signature of its Additional Deputy Inspector General (Logistics) Nasima Akhter.
As per the order, the new logo features the national flower Shapla (water lily), resting on water, surrounded by wheat and paddy wreath tied with three jute leaves on the top. The word 'Police' in Bengali shall be written below the lower joint of paddy and wheat wreath.
The Police Headquarters has asked all concerned to prepare the changed logo or monogram for use in flags, signboards, uniforms and other items used in their district/unit.
The order said the monogram has already received the approval of the appropriate authorities and is waiting for the issuance of the gazette notification.
The new logo has been finalised as part of the implementation of the decision to change the current monogram or logo of Bangladesh Police.
