Bangladeshi couple dies trying to save two daughters on Australian beach

A Bangladeshi couple has died while trying to save their two daughters on a beach in Australia. Their bodies were recovered from a beach in Walpole on Saturday (December 28), as per a jagonews24.com report.

The Bangladeshi couple are former students of Khulna University. However, their two daughters are healthy. Journalist Abul Kalam Azad confirmed the death.

The deceased were identified as Shahidul Hasan Swapan, a former student of Khulna University's Urban and Rural Planning (URP) discipline, and Sabrina Ahmed Papri, a student of the same discipline. They are husband and wife. Swapan used to teach at Curtin University in Australia.

It is learnt that Shahidul Hasan Swapan and Sabrina Ahmed Papri went to visit the beach in Walpole West city of Australia with their family during Christmas holidays.

At that time, Swapan-Papri's two daughters were drowning in the tide of sea water. He quickly went into the sea to save them. The children were rescued alive, but both of them drowned.
