Bangladeshi worker dies after falling from construction site in Malaysia

A Bangladeshi worker died after falling from a building under construction in Malaysia.

The accident occurred on Monday in the Meru Raya area of Bandar Perak state, according to a UNB report.

The 43-year-old Bangladeshi worker died after falling from an 8.0 metre-high steel structure at the construction site, the local fire service reported.

Police and fire service officials have yet to release his name or identity.

Sabroji Nor Ahmad, operations assistant director at the Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), stated that a seven-member team from the Meru Raya Fire Station was dispatched to the scene in the morning following reports of the accident.

The deceased was working at the construction site when the incident occurred. Other workers tried to help by moving him to an empty space as he fell unconscious.

Later, the head of the operation team examined the injured worker and administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

However, he was declared dead upon the arrival of the medical team.

The body has been handed over to police for further investigation.

While officials have confirmed the worker’s nationality and age, they have not disclosed further personal details, including his name.
