BB governor stresses flourishing students’ knowledge

Bangladesh Bank (BB) governor Fazle Kabir on Thursday underscored flourishing the knowledge of students properly as they can contribute to building the country.

"Today's students will be the driving forces of the country's economic development in the coming days. So, we have to flourish their knowledge," he said while speaking at a scholarship distribution ceremony at the central bank's headquarters in the capital, according to a BB press release said.

Bangladesh Bank Karmachari Samabay Rindan Samiti organised the function to distribute the Alauddin Student Scholarship among the children of the central bank officers and employees.

BB deputy governor SM Moniruzzaman and former deputy governor SK Sur Chowdhury, among others, present on the occasion. Chairman of the Samiti Gazi Siful Rahman presided over the function.

A total of 470 students of primary, secondary and higher secondary levels received the scholarship and certificates, reports BSS.
