Former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed has submitted an application to the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) through his lawyer seeking time to face questioning on allegations of acquiring wealth beyond his known source of income.
ACC Commissioner Jahurul Huque said the application was submitted on Wednesday afternoon, local news portals said.
Benazir was summoned to appear at the ACC on Thursday while his wife and daughters were summoned to face questioning on June 9 on graft allegations.
