Beximco’s liabilities total Tk 500 billion, BB lawyer tells court

The liabilities of 78 companies under the Beximco Group to 16 banks and seven financial institutions reached Tk 500 billion as of November 30, a Bangladesh Bank (BB) lawyer informed the court on Sunday.
During the hearing of a rule – issued earlier by a High Court bench in response to a writ petition – BB lawyer Muniruzzaman presented this information.
The court has scheduled the next hearing for January 22.
