BGB nab Indian national with foreign currencies

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel arrested an Indian national along with huge foreign currencies from Benapole check post in Jessore district on Tuesday.

 

The arrestee was identified as Kalim Uddin, 32, son of Muslim Sheikh, hailing from North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, reports UNB.

 

Nayeb Subedar Monir Hossain, commander of Benapole ICP Camp, said that on secret information a team of BGB challenged Kalim, passport no- 3247608, came from India, while he was crossing Benapole check post passenger terminal.

 

After searching his bag, BGB recovered 57,500 Saudi riyal, 800 rupee and 4,600 Bangladeshi taka from his bag.
