BGB seizes 9,300 Yaba tablets in Benapole

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive seized 9,300 piece of Yaba tablets from Agrabhulot border area of Benapole on Monday night.

Being informed that a gang of smugglers was bringing a consignment of Yaba tablets from India, a team of BGB conducted a drive there and seized contraband pills worth Tk 2.3 million (23 lakh), said Lt Col Imran H Sarker, commanding officer of BGB-21 battalion.

As per a news agency report, a case has been filed with Benapole Port Police Station in this connection.
