Biman flight makes emergency landing at Dhaka airport

A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight with 143 passengers aboard this morning (Thursday) made an emergency landing shortly after taking off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.

The Singapore-bound flight BG-084 took off around 8:45am only to make its emegrncy landing around 8:55am, said Group Captain M Mehboob Khan, director at the airport, according to local media reports.

As it was noticed that the wheels of the plane would not fold, the captain made the emergency landing, he said, adding that the aircraft used for the flight was a Boeing 737.

However, all aboard the plane were safe and the passengers shifted to another flight that took off from there around 10:45am, the reports quoted him as saying.

Last on June 03, the national carrier witnessed the emergency landing of one of its aircraft at the Dhaka airport.
