Biman reduces airfare to Middle Eastern cities

Biman Bangladesh Airlines has announced the reduced airfare to Middle Eastern cities including Jeddah, Riyad, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi on the occasion of the golden jubilee of the national flag carrier.

"The authorities of the Biman Bangladesh Airlines have decided to reduce the ticket prices of its flights for the Middle East-bound remittance fighters. It will come into effect from January 16 on Dhaka-Jeddah, Dhaka-Riyad, Dhaka-Dubai, and Dhaka-Abu Dhabi routes," said Biman in a press release on Tuesday.

It, however, said the reduced fare will be applicable to new ticket purchases subject to availability while the lowest slab of airfare will remain the same, reports BSS.

According to the release, the maximum fare for each one-way economy class ticket on the Dhaka-Jeddah route has been reduced to Tk 64,620 from Tk 72,455 inclusive of tax.

Similarly, the fare has been reduced to Tk 63,123 from Tk 70,758 for Dhaka-Riyadh and Dhaka-Dammam routes, to Tk 68,784 from Tk 75,508 for Dhaka-Dubai route, and to Tk 58,542 from Tk 67,025 for the Dhaka-Abu Dhabi route inclusive of tax.

The price of each ticket carries a fixed tax ranging from Tk 7,644 to Tk 9,680, the release said.
