Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbub-ul Alam Hanif today said BNP is making peculiar and irrelevant comments on the government's steps over the Rohingya issue, reports BSS.
"Rohingya issue is the problem of the Myanmar government, not of our government. But BNP is now making peculiar and irrelevant comments on the government's steps over the Rohingya issue," he said, speaking at a view-exchange meeting with party workers at his residence here.
Hanif said the comments of BNP are baseless. Bangladesh government is doing whatever it can do for the Rohingyas on the humanitarian ground, he added.
District AL Education Affairs Secretary Amzad Hossain Raju, AL town unit General Secretary Ataur Rahman Ata, district Chhatra League President Yasir Arafat Tushar and Jubo League district unit convener Habibur Rahman Habi, among others, were present.
