A man was killed and at least 25 others were injured in a clash between two groups of BNP in Faridpur’s Nagarkanda upazila on Wednesday.
The supporters of BNP’s central organising secretary Shama Obaid and Krishak Dal’s central general secretary Shahidul Islam Babul engaged in clashes centring a rally, arranged by Babul, on Wednesday.
The deceased, Kabir Bhuiyan (55), was a supporter of Shahidul Islam Babul.
Asaduzzaman Shakil, the senior assistant superintendent of police to Nagarkanda circle, said they have deployed police members to bring the situation under control.
