Bureaucrats want separate university for their children

Civil servants have proposed the establishment of a university exclusively for their children.

They recently placed the proposal on the first day of the four-day annual conference of deputy commissioners at the Shapla Hall of the Prime Minister’s Office in Dhaka city, Bangladesh Journal reported on Friday.

During the conference from March 3 to March 6 – in the presence of the Prime Minister – deputy commissioners and divisional commissioners put forward a 24-point proposal.

In the 24-point proposal, they suggested, among others, that a separate civil service university could be established for the education of the children of civil servants as well as for higher degrees and training for themselves.

Public Administration Minister Farhad Hossain, Cabinet Secretary Md Mahbub Hossain, and Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister Mohammad Tofazzel Hossain Miah, among others, were present at the conference.
