Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus consulted leaders of four major political parties on Tuesday night on latest developments in the country, according to a Facebook post by the Press Secretary to the CA, Shafiqul Alam.
The meeting was attended by Secretary-General of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, a member of the Standing Committee of the party, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, the deputy chief of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Abdullah Muhammad Taher, and its Assistant Secretary-General Hamidur Rahman Azad. Also present were convener of the National Citizens Party (NCP) Nahid Islam and its member-secretary Akhtar Hossain, as well as a presidium member of the Islamic Movement of Bangladesh Professor Ashraf Ali Akon and its Joint General Secretary Gazi Ataur Rahman.
The meeting took place at the state guesthouse Jamuna.
