The charge sheet in the Holey Artisan cafe in the capital’s Gulshan area will be submitted within a month.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Md Asaduzzaman Mia said this in the city on Tuesday.
“We are cautiously preparing the charge sheet in the Holey Artisan attack case with taking time instead of making hurry to give a flawless charge sheet and it will take one more month to this end,” he said.
He was speaking at a meeting on law and order and traffic management ahead of the Eid at Mohakhali Bus Terminal, reports BSS.
The DMP chief has sounded a note of warning of taking tougher action against charging extra fare from passengers, saying, “We will no more tolerate any passenger harassment ahead of the Eid.”
Talking about the success of coordinated security arrangements ahead of the Eid, he also said, “No significant crime such as snatching, mugging and extortion was taken place in the capital in the last 26 days of the holy Ramadan.”
“No vehicles will be allowed to leave the bus terminals without verifying driving license and other necessary papers,” he said.
