Police have submitted chargesheets in 26 cases filed in different parts of the country over the July mass uprising.
Among the cases, eight were murder cases while the remaining 18 were filed on several other charges, according to a Police Headquarters press release.
The eight murder cases were from Sherpur, Feni, Chandpur, Cumilla, Kurigram, and Chattogram Metropolitan Police, while the 18 others were from Bogura, Chapainawabganj, Sirajganj, Pabna, Jamalpur, Dhaka Metropolitan Police, Barishal Metropolitan Police, Rajshahi Metropolitan Police, and the Police Bureau of Investigation.
A total of 1,153 people were accused in the eight murder cases, while 682 people were accused in the remaining cases.
